Boy Scouts
Kirkwood has sponsored Scout Troop 1140 for many years.
The troop:
- Is part of the Old Dominion District in the National Capital Area Council
- Has produced over 100 Eagle Scouts to date
- Is a boy-led troop specializing in backpacking
- Meets weekly, on Wednesday nights, at Kirkwood and participates in an outing at least once a month
- Offers a Venture program for older scouts

Girl Scouts
Welcome to the vibrant community of Girl Scouts in Service Unit 52-10, nestled within the Nation's Capital Council. We thank Kirkwood for serving as the meeting place for numerous Girl Scout troops as we embark on exciting adventures, forge lifelong friendships, and make a difference in the world. Together with the Kirwood community, we collaborate on exciting initiatives, including the biannual Inova Blood Drive, the Trunk-or-Treat event, summer camp, and more.
